A delicious pre-dinner with fresh goat’s cheese and cooked beets.

  • fresh goat's cheese
  • 1kg cooked beets
  • 4 onions
  • 3 or 4 Granny Smith apples
  • balsamic vinegar
  • poppy seeds
  • pepper
  • salt

Preparation

Wash the beets (do not peel them). Put them in a slow cooker with water, wait 30-35 minutes after it begins to whistle.
Take out the basket and leave to cool before peeling them.

In a frying pan, brown the onions during 15 minutes in olive oil and make them caramelize with 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar at the end.

Cut the apples into little dices.

To assemble all, put into aperitive spoons some chuncks of beets, apples and onions.
Finish putting on top goat cheese sprinkled of poppy seeds.
